Sago or sabudhana is a good source of protein, which helps with muscle building, healing and strengthening of bones. Sabudhana is rich in iron and calcium, which helps maintain bone health. We can prevent osteoporosis and other bone conditions by adding a regular dose of tapioca to our diet. It is also responsible for maintaining the bone’s health and flexibility. It’s a source of protein, vitamin K, and metallic nutrients which is essential and important for a baby to grow.
So guys, Sabudhana is a Healthy and Nutritious diet specially for people who keep fasting in auspicious days. It is actually energy-giving food. So here I am going to give you a quick recipe of Sago Usili. It’s time consuming and a quick and instant dish for all youth’s as well as adults. Here we go:
Take 200 gms of sabudhana and soak in water for four hours. Filter it well and drained. Keep aside in a bowl.
Cooking oil, mustard, turmeric powder, asafoetida, cashew nuts, jeera, urad dal, chana dal, green chillies, curry leaves, boiled potatoes.
Take a kadai. Put 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. As oil gets heated, add mustard, jeera, urad dal, chana dal, pinch of turmeric powder, pinch of asafeotida, green chillies (4), and curry leaves. Saute it well. Then add 2 boiled potatoes cut into cubes, and add the Sago and one tablespoon of cooking oil. Add salt according to taste. Saute till the sago get boiled and becomes transparent.
Finally, squeeze lemon juice, add grounded powder and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot:”)
